Kevin Forsyth

Program Coordinator,

SR Head Coach

Mr Forsyth has been with The Ridge since 2016. He teaches in the Business department and serves as the Football program Coordinator, SR Team Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. He has over 20 years of coaching experience at the High School Senior and Junior levels, as well as with the Burlington Stampeders Rep Program and the BMFA House League and Flag levels of football. Prior to taking over the Wolfpack Program he worked with the MMR and Lester B Pearson football teams. 

While he runs the offense, his knowledge and expertise is on Running backs and Quarterback play.  Even during his time off, he is heavily involved in football and can be found officiating flag or touch football or playing men's league touch year round in both the Soccer World Indoor league and the GHTFA outdoor league. 

His knowledge, passion and commitment to growing the program has paid dividends as Iroquois is now considered the top program in Oakville and a top 30 program in Ontario.

Dan LeGresley
 
Asst. Program Coordinator,
Defensive Coordinator 

Mr. LeGresley has been with the Ridge since 2018. He is a French teacher and helps Coach Forsyth with the overall direction of our program. He is the SR team Defensive Coordinator and also works with all of our defensive linemen. His knowledge and experience has helped our lines work as one cohesive unit and has seen a number of those position players move on to the OUA under his tutelage. He was a member of the University of Guelph Gryphons Football Program from 2005-2009 as an offensive lineman. Coach LeGresley has been coaching since 2005 at both the junior and senior level in both high school and rep football. He has enjoyed each stop and loves to work with young linemen to help improve their games. 

 

Since his arrival, our football program has continued to improve each and every season. He is a big believer in coaching football, but also life skills as we have seen improvements on the field, in the classroom, and in the community for the majority of our young males. His passion for coaching comes through each and every day.

Kris Reeve

SR Special Teams Coordinator 

Mr. Reeve has been with The Ridge since 2010 as the Head of our Special Education Department as well as a football coach. He spent many years as the head coach of the SR team, but has recently stepped back a bit to focus more time on his family. Coach Reeve played his university ball at Windsor University. In addition to his playing career, he has 20+ years of coaching experience at the high school level. He has 4 championships to his name, spending time at Aldershot, MMR, Central and The Ridge. We are pleased to have him work as our Special Teams Coordinator, while also using his playing and coaching knowledge and experience to help in other areas of our program. 

 

Coach Reeve is a passionate and active supporter of all of The Ridge's athletics and also has been a coach for Touch Football, Baseball and Basketball over the years. He has been a mentor and a leader to many athletes over the years.

Jacob Baird
JR Head Coach

Coach Baird joined The Ridge Family in the fall of 2022 in both a teaching and coaching capacity. He is a member of our HAL department, and is excited to help take our athletic teams to the Championship level.

He is a former high level athlete who played in the OHL for a couple of seasons. He has used his knowledge and experience of playing sports at a high calibre and has transitioned that over to coaching young athletes. He has coached; football, hockey, rugby and volleyball. 

 

His youth and enthusiasm have made him a player favourite, and we are excited to have him take on a bigger role with our program this coming season.

Craig Labbett

Wide Receivers Coach

Coach Labbett joined the Wolfpack coaching staff in 2019 as a part time WR coach. He has a long and decorated resume in the sport. He played his University football at Western, where he was part of 3 Vanier Cup teams and was named Ontario All Star TE 3 times and was twice named as a Canadian All Star TE. He was then drafted by the Alouettes in the first round of the 1978 draft. He spent time on the Alouettes, Argo's and TiCats teams before retiring in 1980.

He has stayed involved with the sport by coaching at Clarkson, Oakville Trafalgar and now Iroqouis Ridge High Schools in Halton, as well as with the Oakville Titans. We are pleased to have his experience, knowledge and wisdom on our staff, and hope to have him in a more full time capacity going forward.

Adam Power

Quarterbacks Coach

Coach Power joined the Wolfpack coaching staff in 2019. Coach Power is a former football player and alumni to The Ridge. He graduated in 2014 and was the starting QB for our last SR Championship team here at Iroquois. His passion and enthusiasm for the game and the school has been a welcome addition to our coaching staff, and our current players love to hear about his alumni experiences. The leadership and charisma that he displayed on the field as a player has transitioned very well to a coaching position. He has had a very positive experience on all of our young quarterbacks, both on and off the field.

While he is busy starting out his career, we hope that he can manage to keep his coaching duties as part of his very busy schedule.

Taylor Kurc

Defensive Assistant Coach & Alumni Ambassador

Coach Kurc graduated from IRHS as a SR Champion in 2014. He then went on to play DB/LB at Graceland University in the NAIA from 2016 - 2019. In 2020 he joined our Parent Committee as our Alumni Ambassador and has been a huge part of our fundraising success and getting our alumni involved with current events.

Taylor's coaching career started in 2015 with the Oakville Titans organization and he has continued to help grow their program year over year as he has coached a variety of age groups and used his experience and expertise to coach on the Defensive side of the ball.

Coach Kurc has been coaching at The Ridge since 2022 and helping our young defenders learn the game. His calm demeanour, knowledge of the game, his experience coaching and his vision to help grow our program is an extremely welcome addition to our coaching staff. We look forward to keeping him on for many years to come and continue elevating our program to be one of the best in Ontario.

Keith McCutcheon

Offensive Line Coach 

Coach McCutcheon joined the Wolfpack coaching staff in 2022. Iroquois Ridge is in his neighbourhood, and he has been supporting financial literacy at the school in our Finance classes since 2019. 

Keith played Offensive Line at the University of McMaster in the late 90's and early 00's. His passion for the sport has never waivered and when his work schedule has allowed it, he has spent time coaching football for over 15+ years. He has spent time with Corpus Christi CSS as well as the Burlington Stampeders organization before joining up with the Wolfpack.

His experience, knowledge and passion has already made a positive impact on our linemen, both on and off the field. In 2022 we had the best rushing team in Halton and we look forward to continuing off of that success and producing one of the best rushing teams in the province, behind a technical and tough offensive line.

Thomas Hayes

Offensive Assistant Coach

Coach Hayes is another alumni giving back to our program. He graduated in 2020, and his school / work schedule in 2022 finally enabled him to give back to our program and help work with our young players. Thomas was a WR and DB for us for a number of years and will work once again with our offensive skilled players on our JR team.

We remain excited to have alumni helping to grow our program, and build on the foundation and culture that he helped build during his time here. He is a very quiet and calm influence on our players, and has a great way of connecting with our younger athletes. Our JR players are getting a dedicated and committed coach to help teach them the game, as well as help instill the Wolfpack culture that defines our program.

Stephen McPhaden

Linebackers Coach

Coach McPhaden joined The Ridge in 2022 as a math teacher and basketbal, and baseball coach. After choosing to stay with our school, he will be joining our Football coaching staff in 2023. He has coached football at both Dr Frank Hayden and MMR in season's past.

His experience as a coach and as a football player will be a welcome addition to our program. He will focus his efforts and abilities to excelling the play of our LB group.

He has proven to be a successful coach at a variety of sports, his passion for athletics and his coaching style fits well with the culture we are building at The Ridge.

Dan Hrubecky

Runningbacks Coach (JR)

Coach Hrubecky is another alumni giving back to our program. He graduated in 2020, and his school / work schedule in 2022 finally enabled him to give back to our program and help work with our young players. Dan was a WR and RB for us for a number of years and will  help our JR RB's out this coming season.

We are excited to have another alumni helping to grow our program, and build on the foundation and culture that he helped build during his time here. Our JR players are getting a dedicated and committed coach to help teach them the game, as well as help instill the Wolfpack culture that defines our program.

Justin Kurc

Defensive Backs Coach

Coach Kurc is another alumni of the Wolfpack program, he graduated in 2021 after having played QB, RB and DB for a number of years, and joined our coaching staff in 2023. While he is an athlete that played multiple positions, he will focus his coaching efforts with our defensive backs.

We remain thrilled to have yet another alumni member as part of our coaching staff. While he is young in age, he is very knowledgeable of the game, and has a very consistent and mature way of connecting with our young athletes. His coaching style, attitude, leadership and knowledge has already enhanced the play of our young DB's and we look forward to keeping him on staff for many years to come.

Adam Misiewicz

Runningbacks Coach

Coach Miz is another alumni giving back to our program. He graduated in 2019, and his school / work schedule in 2023 finally enabled him to give back to our program and help work with our young players. Coach Miz has spent many years learning and playing the RB position, at the high school, CJFL and OFC levels. He also has worked as a coach for the Oakville Titans for a few years.

Adding another successful Ridge alumni to our coaching staff is always a welcome addition. His passion for the sport and his knowledge and expertise of the position will be a huge benefit to our already strong rushing attack. We look forward to him being able to share some of his expertise and give back to the program that started his passion for the sport.

Julie Smintich

Team Manager

Ms. Smintich joined the football program in 2018. She has been teaching Family Studies here at The Ridge since 2013. She handles a lot of the administrative work that goes on behind the scenes for the football program. She is also heavily involved in all of our team fundraisers, our annual golf tournament and our annual football awards dinner. She also serves as the team liaison between the coaches and our Wolfpack AlumniCommittee. 

You will frequently find Ms. Smintich on the sidelines of all of our home games wearing Wolfpack Swag and cheering loudly. She is a huge supporter of our program and we are happy for all of the support that she provides our program.
